🚗 Driving Directions to the Cabin

From I‑81 Northbound (Harrisonburg → Mt. Jackson)

1. Take Exit 273 toward Mt. Jackson / Basye
2. Turn right onto VA‑703 / Mt. Jackson Rd
3. Continue straight for several miles, following signs toward Basye / Bryce Resort
4. Turn left onto VA‑263 / Orkney Grade
5. Continue on Orkney Grade until you reach the Bryce Resort area
6. Follow your GPS for the final turn‑by‑turn instructions to the cabin

From I‑81 Southbound (Winchester → Mt. Jackson)

1. Take Exit 273 toward Mt. Jackson / Basye
2. Turn left onto VA‑703 / Mt. Jackson Rd
3. Continue straight toward Basye / Bryce Resort
4. Turn left onto VA‑263 / Orkney Grade
5. Continue on Orkney Grade until you reach the Bryce Resort area
6. Follow your GPS for the final approach to the cabin

From Bryce Resort

1. Head out of the resort area toward Orkney Grade (VA‑263)
2. Follow your GPS toward the cabin’s road
3. Expect unpaved mountain roads for the last few miles
4. Drive slowly — the roads are narrow and winding but well‑maintained
5. The cabin will be on your right/left depending on your approach

❄️ Winter Travel Notes

• 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended
• Roads may be snowy or icy early morning or after sunset
• Arriving before dark is helpful during winter weather
• The roads are plowed as needed, but traction can vary
